According to BBC News, there is a new drug that will make hearts repair themselves. Heart attacks damage your heart a lot, and that damage used to be permanent. The drug, called Thymosin Beta 4, makes the heart ready to repair the damage caused by a heart attack. The drug is currently bieng tested on mice, and so far it is working. But just because it works on mice doesn't mean it will automatically work on humans. It's use on humans is still a long way away.
What do I think? Well, medical science has advanced very far. And now we have a drug that repairs hearts! In a few years, doctors everywhere will be prescribing this drug to patients that have had heart attacks. Who knows, after this we could make a drug that repairs brain damage! Let's juust hope it works for humans.
