To answer my question...

it is kind of hard. People never understand what you are talking about in public. The only time you would get to meet othere geeks is at sci-fi conventions (such as dragon-con, which is in atlanta every labor day weekend.) Every once in a while you may find somebody who is also interested in science fiction (star wars does not count, everyone has seen it. ask about shows like eureka and warehouse 13) but then you do something to piss them off and then you don't talk to each other for a real long time. After that you are stuck with your parents and you video games (and maybe even teachers, if they are interested) until your friend gets over what happened. So what is life for a geek? answer: okay, and kind of awesome BECAUSE WE WILL SUCCEED!
